A row of BMW Minis set out at a car meet at Santa Pod, UK

ABOUT US

Established in 2018 we specialise in parts for the BMW Mini. We truly believe you should have Your MINI Your Way and will do anything we can to make your plans come to life!

Mod A Mini was formed on a passion for anything with an engine, especially Mini's. After owning and restoring a classic mini to its former glory over a few years (that then paid for our wedding!), a love of Minis was born.

After getting married, my lust for another project car was still there and I thought about doing another Mini, however, the increasing cost in classics put anything decent out of budget.... I then got offered a Porsche 924s as a project... I started work on this and after a couple of months of ownership my sister bought an R53 Mini. After taking my sisters new car for a drive I was hooked... 2 weeks later the Porsche was sold and an R53 was mine.

Our first MINI project was a 2006 Mini Cooper S R53 in astro black. It was off the road for major electrical work for a long time but we made the most of it being "wheel-less" with quite a few modifications. My sister still has her completely standard 2002 Mini Cooper S R53 in yellow, and my dad owns a 33k mile 2004 John Cooper Works in red - we like to keep it in the family! Keep an eye out for these cars on our social media posts too.

Our main 'Mod A Mini' car though, is Mim's 2005 R53 who we have nicknamed Stanley :-) This is the blue and orange car that features heavily on our Instagram and Facebook pages and so far has a few modifications that we have documented online. The ultimate goal is to get this car an impressive track beast status - but this takes time and so far the majority of our attention has focused on suspension and bracing as opposed true engine power.

Our previous joint car projects have included a 1989 Mini Cooper (a complete restoration from shell upwards), 2002 BMW 330ci, 1984 Ford Capri 1.6 Laser, 1979 Ford Capri 3.0 Ghia and a 1987 Porsche 924s. We are mainly self-taught and have definitely had our fair share of set-backs, but we love tinkering and the friendly, helpful atmosphere on forums and Facebook groups - plus Mim's tiny hands are extremely useful in engine bays!

FAQ
  • Do we ship abroad?
Yes we can ship abroad however please contact us before purchasing so that we can provide you with an accurate price for shipping. Any duties or tax incurred on the item will be payable by the recipient only. The postage costs cover the initial shipping of the item and are therefore not refundable if you wish to send the item back. If an item is returned, we will refund any items with a credit note or an exchange as long as we receive the item in it's original condition and packaging. We will not cover the return postage. Any other questions regarding international deliveries, please speak to us before purchasing.
  • How do you maintain your low prices?
In order to bring you consistent and affordable pricing, we do not hold many items in stock. Whilst most items will be shipped the next day from our distributors, on the rare occasion the item is out of stock, there may be a small wait. If so, we will make you aware of the delay and advise when your item should be delivered. If you cannot wait or need the item more urgently, we will not hesitate to offer a full refund.
  • Do you have any discount codes?
Any discount codes will be displayed below or on our social media accounts, so please check regularly and subscribe for some amazing offers!
  • Can I return my item?
If you are not happy with your purchase you must let us know within 14 days of delivery. We can then arrange a refund as long as the goods arrive back in the original condition and packaging within a further 14 days. There may be restocking fees applied depending on the products you wish to return. Please contact us directly so that we can work out the best way to proceed. If an item is returned past these dates, we will do our very best to arrange a refund but it will be down to our distributors discretion so please ensure that you let us know immediately if there is a problem. We can not cover the return postage unless the part sent out was incorrect or faulty. Items that are custom (eg painted/powdercoated/made personal for you) are not refundable once fabricated/made/painted so please be sure before you make the purchase that you are not going to change your mind.
  • I have paid for my item, now I have changed my mind before the product has been sent out?
Unfortunately, whether you order and receive the goods, or order and cancel, all transactional fees are non-refundable for us as a company. Sadly, we experienced this on a spiteful scale, where we had a customer purchase vast quantities of goods to deliberately ask for full refunds knowing that we would make a large loss. To combat this, any "change of mind" purchases can be either refunded as a cash figure minus transactional fees (these fees can be calculated by third party websites too for the customer's peace of mind) or the full amount spent can be used as store credit within 12 months of the original order. We believe that this ensures all parties are treated fairly and no one is left out of pocket for a customer's change of mind.
  • My item has arrived damaged, what should I do?
As with our returns policy, any items that have arrived damaged must be reported within 14 days from the date of delivery. We may extend this to 30 days in exceptional circumstances but this is dependant on the item, on the damage and the country of destination. Any damage reported outside of these time frames will not be covered for a free replacement however we can offer a discount towards a second purchase as a gesture of goodwill.
